জটিল সংখ্যার একটি টেনসর input হিসেবে দেওয়া হলে, এই অপারেশনটি float টাইপের একটি টেনসর রিটার্ন করে, যা input প্রতিটি উপাদানের কাল্পনিক অংশ। input সমস্ত উপাদান অবশ্যই এই ধরনের জটিল সংখ্যা হতে হবে। \(a + bj\)যেখানে a হলো বাস্তব অংশ এবং b হলো কাল্পনিক অংশ যা এই অপারেশনের মাধ্যমে পাওয়া যায়।

উদাহরণস্বরূপ:

tf.imag(input) ==> [4.75, 5.75]
